What's the most efficient way to pack a house?

  • Give yourself enough time to pack carefully without feeling overwhelmed.

  • Pack up each room separately, and label them which room does it belong to.

  • Begin packing with the items that you do not use daily.

  • Save essentials for last. Such as a toothbrush, chargers, toilet paper, hand soap, etc.

  • If you don’t have time to pack yourself, you can hire our professionals. 

 

How do I choose my moving company?

When choosing your moving company, you should be looking for a company that is offering all information in writing and take the time to answer any and all questions you may have.  There should be a willingness from the company to provide you with clear and honest answers so you are able to assess whether that company is best suited to help you with your move.  The cost of the move should not the main reason behind choosing your company; you want to choose a company with a good price, good rating and knowledgeable relocation specialists.

What factors may affect my move cost?

The number of flights of stairs.

Distance of walk from the truck to the load or unload location.
Driving time from the load to the unload location.

Disassemble and reassemble needs.

Depending on the weather, traffic, an organization on the customers part.

Especially on the accuracy of the total inventory of goods to be moved.

Is there any extra or hidden charges?

Movery does not have extra charges or hidden fees.

When you choose Movery to help you plan your move, our customer specialist will happily explain the services that are included in the hourly rate and the services that we offer for an additional charge. 

This way you will know if you will need to pay for any additional charge.

Do you protect my furniture when you move it?

All of your furniture or larger household items will be covered with heavy-duty moving blankets by our movers during the move. Also we always carry shrink wrap if your items need an extra layer of protection

This is all included in our service.

Will you disassemble and reassemble furniture?

Our professional team would be happy to provide you with assistance with your basic items. Assembly & Reassembly is included as part of our service.

But be aware that some items require specific tools and needs, if you will need this service, let us know if you have special items. Only the hourly rate applies during this service.

What items cannot be moved?

Due to restrictions by the government and concerns for public safety, there are restrictions to the transportation of dangerous goods.

Such as gasoline, propane tanks, extinguishers, ammunition, and some cleaning supplies.

Can I keep my clothes in my dressers?

For safe transportation, the contents of drawers, dressers, filing cabinets, etc. should be packed into boxes and all drawers should be emptied before our team arrives.

What should I do with my jewelry and other valuable items?

Items of extraordinary value such as jewelry, money, antiques, and stamp collections cannot be included.

It is strongly recommended that you carry irreplaceable and expensive articles with you.

How much should I tip my movers?

Our team will never ask or hint for tips from customers.

But if customers satisfy with our team's efficiency and hard work, our team is allowed to accept tips.

In terms of what to tip the movers, we encourage customers to tip whatever they feel is necessary for the job that was completed.

 

What does the Truck fee cover?

Truck fee calculation based on your mileage between your pickup address and delivery address and also includes gas. Truck fee counts per day, per one truck. 

 

We pride ourselves on giving upfront pricing, so there will be no surprises.

Do you protect my hardwood floors, carpet, or tile?

Our professional team will protect all your hardwood, and carpets when we get to your home. They will use rubber floor covers before starting at no extra charge.

Our goal is to make your move stress-free. Your home is safe with us.

When does my hourly time start?

Time will start when our team arrives at the first location and ready to start, time will stop when they finish at the second location. Your price will be based on that time.

What method of payment do you accept?

We offer many payment methods: Cash, e-transfer, Debit, Visa, and MasterCard.

There is a 3-percent service fee following these payment methods; Visa, MasterCard.

Are my items covered with insurance during the move? 

The coverage is limited to $0.60 per pound, per article for any damage and/or loss. However, we may pay up to $6.00 per pound for items damaged as consideration for using our moving services.
Any requests for declared value or valuation coverage must be presented in writing to Movery at least 1 business prior to the pick-up day.
